I had a series of on site interviews with a FAANG company yesterday and they went amazing. Hopefully I’ll hear back by the end of the week with an offer.

Aso the weather is amazing in the Bay area here, even though all the locals are complaining about the cold. It was 65 and sunny here, home was 37 and rainy so this is amazing!

Most of the cars in the lot were fairly boring normal affairs. A lot of Tesla, Audi, Porsche and such with one beautiful Aston Martin (above).

I’m excited as fuck about this! It’s a major job title bump and should be a big change of pace from my mostly boring quasi-governmental gig now.

Now for a 4 hour flight back from from San Jose. With spend ing the weekend working in Cinci and flying here on Monday I'm exhausted but excited.

Weather this week has been horrible between the smoke and the frigid winds! Guess we’re spoiled!

There was no smoke at all where I was, clear blue skies and spent the whole time wearing a long sleeve t-shirt.

I do realize that the north definitely had shittier weather with the fire smoke but on the west side of the Bay it was beautiful.

This is a pic my wife sent me yesterday from home when I wouldn’t shut up about the weather here.

That’s amazing!

Maybe I had an atypical experience, but that temp. at this time of year doesn’t seem all that cold in the Bay Area. If I remember, SF and the bay have a different weather pattern from the surrounding areas. When I was 12, I visited Pittsburg that summer , and we drove in to SF for a day. It went from 98F where my Aunt’s house was to 60s in the city. Weird.

SF proper is usually cooler than the rest of the area. I headed down there Monday night for dinner and it was brisker for sure, probably 55 and windy.

It cracks me up when people complain that anything under 70 is too cold (discounting senior citizens) or when people on home improvement shows living in the southwest (not out in the desert where it can get ‘chilly’ some nights) insist on having a fireplace for the “cold nights.” What, the maybe four nights a year where it dips down to 50 at 4 a.m.?? Or the two nights every few years it hits 40?? You need a fireplace for that??

Yeah , it’s hilarious. Almost everyone I talked to I mentioned how amazing the weather is and while wearing a hoodie or sweater replied no it's cold here!

Yeah, smoke in SF has been minimal this go around. However, last week was 1000x better weather, if you can imagine that!
